The Pentawards sponsors are renowned domestic and international industry leaders within their sectors of the packaging value chain. Each year, the sponsors have the opportunity to sponsor a specific award and even provide an additional prize for the winner, if they wish to do so. In 2018 there were 6 sponsored awards, three of which came with additional prizes, worth a combined total of 25,000. Take a look at the sponsor's awards below.

In addition to the Diamond Pentaward for Mutti, Auge Design received a one-year license to the Esko 3D Packaging Design software, worth €5,000. Sleever International prize for LOVE.

Sleever International presented a special prize to the most remarkable design in the limited editions category of the Pentawards 2018. The prize worth €5,000 went to LOVE. for creating the stunning Johnnie Walker design. Pioneer and world leader of the sleeve concept, Sleever International is a total packaging company. Founder of the concept and owner of SLEEVER® brand name, the company has constantly nurtured this technology through a spectrum of expertise from chemicals and engineering to transformation and service.

iC3D prize for Stranger & Stranger

iC3D presented their special prize, a subscription to iC3D software, with support and bespoke training, worth €10,000. The prize is given to the top winner of the fine wines & champagne category and was given to Stranger & Stranger for the creation of the Sterling Iridium bottle. Creative Edge is an innovative patented 3D technology that helps the ideation/design process in the packaging, labelling & graphics markets, and quickly enables customers to better engage with packaging while reducing the time to production.

OIB China sponsor the Platinum Body award Winner

In their first year as a sponsor of the Pentawards, OIB China sponsored the Platinum Body award, presented this year to Studio Kluif for Bloomdale Eyewear. As a leading creative company in fashion consumer goods and a cutting-age incubation platform, OIB.CHINA is dedicated to providing integrated services from brand creativity to product realization.

UPM RAFLATAC sponsor the Gold award winner in the Wine’s category

PCD sponsor the NXT-GEN award winner

The winner of the NXT-GEN award, Yu Chen, received an all-expenses-paid trip to New York, to receive the prize at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum sponsored by PCD. ADF&PCD, universally acclaimed by suppliers and key players in the aerosol, dispensing, perfume and cosmetic packaging community, is the expert event not to be missed.

The 12th edition of the Pentawards in figures.

The 2018 edition of the Pentawards received 2,318 entries from 62 countries in 5 continents. This shows an increase of 15% from the previous year and the truly global reach of this competition. In addition to the Diamond Pentaward and the 5 Platinum Pentawards, the international jury also awarded 41 Gold Pentawards, 84 Silver Pentawards and 90 Bronze Pentawards across the 57 categories competing this year.

The 2019 PENTAWARDS will be presented in London.

The 2019 competition will be open for entries from 25th February - 12th April.

It has been revealed that the 2019 edition of the Pentawards will see its Gala Ceremony return to London for the first time since 2015. Additional events will be built around the main Gala Ceremony again including a Conference, a Design Brunch and a new format of the event. The official venue for the Gala Ceremony is yet to be revealed, however, it has been confirmed that the 2019 Gala Ceremony will be the largest one (by capacity) since its inception. This is in response to a surge in demand from the community to attend the prestigious event in line with the global growth of the Pentawards competition.
